Rebels and Red Devils Even After Two Games

1 Six Nations Rebels 5 Wallaceburg Red Devils

After two games in the Western Conference finals, the 2012 Founders Cup hosts find themselves knotted up at 1 with the fifth seed Wallaceburg Red Devils.
Game one was a tight battle until the third period and the offensive trio of Jordan Durston, Rob Pollack and Clint Lamarsh took over. The three Red Devils combined for an impressive 14 points in the third frame allowing them to pull away with a 6-1 period to capture a 15-9 win.
Durston and Lamarsh each registered 5 goals and 5 assists for a 10 point night. Current playoff scoring leader Pollack was unable to find the back of the net but had an impressive 9 assists.
Not only did the Red Devils triple threat have a solid night, but so did ex-Rebel goaltender Brennor Jacobs. Jacobs shut down 52 of 61 shots from his old team in game 1 and even added an assist.
The Red Devils almost pulled away 2-0 in the series in a packed Wallaceburg Memorial Arena but a third period collapse allowed the Indians to even up the series. The Indians silenced a crowd of almost 1,000 people as they closed out a win with a 7-3 third period to clinch a 12-11 victory.
Tony Doxator lead the way for the Rebels with 4 goals and 4 helpers for 8 points. Rookie Zed Williams continued his impressive playoffs with a 5 point night tallying his overall points to 32.
Game 2 also saw some rough action as there was 67 PIM’s including 4 majors issued.
Expect the Red Devils and Rebels to entertain with scoring, great goaltending and rough lacrosse for the remainder of the series.
