In Senior B lacrosse today the St. Catharines Saints and Owen Sound North Stars swapped their goaltenders. Going to Owen Sound is Scott Komer (Barrie Blizzard in CLax) and being shipped to the Saints is Ryan Masters (former Minnesota Swarm third string).
The Saints, the defending champions of Sr B throughout Canada, still hold onto Jake Henhawk who started most of the Saints games last season. Meanwhile, Masters started most of the games in Owen Sound so it is presumed Komer will be their starter.
Both goalies played in Major Series Lacrosse last summer as well with the Brampton Excelsiors. The North Stars struggled last season at 6-10, so they were looking to upgrade for 2014. Komer was also the starter for the Canadian Lacrosse League’s Barrie Blizzard in 2013 and likely 2014.
The Sr B season will open up at the end of April with the Saints will try to defend their OLA Sr B title, and the President’s Cup.
