UNC is coming off a huge win, where they took down the Virginia Cavaliers 10-7, and is looking to improve their rank headed into the ACC and National tournaments. Do not just look at the ranks and call this a victory though, Hofstra is coming of a huge win to St. Josephs’s 13-1, and putting down the Tar Heels will absolutely improve their rank.
Syracuse Orange vs Cornell Big Red
In a battle for Central New York lacrosse bragging rights, No. 8 Syracuse (8-2) rebounded from an early four-goal deficit to upset No. 2 Cornell, 13-12, on Wednesday, April 10 at Carrier Dome. The Orange rallied behind its first midfield line which combined for 11 points against the Big Red (10-2).
Denver Pioneers vs Loyola Greyhounds
Senior Cameron Flint (Georgetown, Ontario) scored the game-winner in overtime to propel the No. 3/4 University of Denver men’s lacrosse team to a 13-12 win over the No. 5/6 Loyola University Greyhounds on Saturday afternoon in front of 3,285 fans at Ridley Athletic Complex in Baltimore, Md. The win is the Pioneers’ fifth straight and bring their overall record to 10-2 on the season, 5-0 in Eastern College Athletic Conference action.
Fairfield Stags vs Air Force Falcons
The Fairfield University men’s lacrosse team scored with 33 seconds remaining in regulation to earn a 9-8 win over ECAC Lacrosse League foe Air Force on Lessing Field Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Stags to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in league play, while the Falcons fall to 6-6 on the year and 1-4 in conference action.
