NLL: Hawks Look to Stay Hot, Face Rush

The Rochester Knighthawks (7-7) have a rendezvous with the Edmonton Rush (8-6) today at 4pm. Earlier in the season, the Rush took down the defending NLL champs 11-9. Edmonton is coming into the game off a loss to Colorado, with the Knighthawks showing signs of life after downing Calgary 15-14.

 

Currently, the Rush lead the NLL in the computer rankings with an overall record of 8-6. Rochester sits at number five with a .500 record of 7-7. In conference play, both teams are parked in the third spot, Knightshawks 4-5 in the East and the Rush 5-5 in the West.

 

Leading the way for Rochester is Cody Jamieson with 68 points (23G, 45A). Edmonton is seeing Ryan Ward take control with 65 points of his own, tallying 20 goals and 45 assists. Goalies will have a big impact on the game as Matt Vinc has a 9.75 GAA and a .813 save percentage. Aaron Bold is making .748 percent of his saves and only allowing 10.39 goals a game. Bold has two more wins than Vinc, as the two will be battling it out in a rematch of the 2012 NLL championship.

 

Rexall Place will be loud with the Rush looking to get their second win against the Knighthawks this season and looking to improve to 9-6 overall. Rochester looks to get their second win in a row and is seeking revenge for the loss they suffered agains the Rush nearly a month ago.
