The Duke Blue Devils open their season tomorrow, but they will be without three of their starting players when they take on the 1-0 High Point Panthers. The team announced the indefinite suspensions of three players- attackman Kyle Keenan, defenseman Chris Coady, and LSM Brian Dialey.
Keenan was a starter last season with Duke when Josh Dionne got hurt in the playoffs, and he was going to be a starting attackman in 2015. The ‘Devils offense has lost a lot to graduation and Keenan was slated to be one of the replacements.
Dailey was in a similar situation to Keenan, stepping in as a starter with defender Luke Duprey was injured. He was going to be one of the starting long stick middies this season.
Coady was also slated to take on a bigger role in the 2015 season before his suspension.
Duke is still one of the deeper teams in the conference, but they have a tougher matchup now against High Point tomorrow.
