The Toronto Rock began their first action since announcing their 2013 roster with a win, defeating the Philadelphia Wings 12-9 in their final exhibition game. With the win, the Rock finish their pre-season with a 2-1 exhibition record, going 1-1 at the new Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC).
Leading the way on offense for Toronto were veterans Josh Sanderson and Blaine Manning. Sanderson finished the night with 3 goals and 3 assists. After missing 10 games due to an early season injury last year, Blaine Manning looked to be in top form yet again notching 5 points versus the Wings.
Rock newcomer Scott Evans continued his impressive pre-season registering 3 goals and 1 assist against Philly. Since joining the Rock, Evans has recorded 8 points in two exhibition games.
The Rock will return to the TRAC turf December 27th for their final practice of the calendar year before opening the 2013 season on the road January 12th versus the Calgary Roughnecks.
