BROOKLYN, NY – Trilogy Lacrosse, The Leader in Lacrosse Education, launched its inaugural Veterans Day Tournament to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project®. The one-day event is at the Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick, NJ on November 9, 2014 and will feature three games plus a championship at the High School, U15, U13, and U11 divisions. Ten percent of tournament registration fees will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project®(WWP).
“We are extremely excited to host an event of this caliber at the Jersey Shore in support of WWP, an organization whose mission and values we believe in”
said Mitch Belisle, Trilogy Lacrosse VP of Marketing. “Much like our summer Masters Tournament Series, we anticipate programs from across the country competing in this first rate event with a championship format and family-friendly atmosphere.”
Building on the features that have resulted in two sold-out tournaments during the summer of 2014, the Veterans Day Tournament to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project® will take place on a single-site location containing eleven fields, convenient parking and field access, and a bustling vendor village. The championship format at a fall event and high attention to detail in the bracketing process further differentiate Trilogy Lacrosse tournaments. Space will be limited and programs interested in attending are encouraged to visit www.trilogylacrosse.com/tournaments for more information and to reserve a spot.
The Veterans Day Tournament to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project® is the first in a series of upcoming events marking Trilogy Lacrosse’s recently announced partnership with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), whose mission is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Trilogy Lacrosse will continue to augment WWP lacrosse events and create new dynamic programs to raise awareness for WWP initiatives.
“Trilogy Lacrosse is the ideal partner to further our mission of honoring and empowering Wounded Warriors. They stand out as an organization of excellent educators who value character first. Simply put, the reputation of the company and the people involved is what makes them an ideal partner for us,” explained Adam Silva, Chief Development Officer for Wounded Warrior Project®.
Trilogy Lacrosse Director of Operations, Jimmy Vlahakis, played lacrosse at the United States Military Academy at West Point and served seven years as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army. Vlahakis explains, “Trilogy Lacrosse is honored to partner with Wounded Warrior Project® on these initiatives. Wounded Warrior Project® Alumni and staff embody what we hope our future generation of leaders can live up to. We are excited to work with them on developing well-rounded student athletes who are leaders and men of character both on and off the lacrosse field.”
