During this past offseason the Virginia Cavaliers released Danseglio (defense) from both the team and the school. He transferred to Maryland.
Now, in their final preseason exhibition match, sources are claiming other defenseman Tanner Scales injured his Achilles tendon enough to sit him out the rest of 2015!
Scales was going to be the one to step up and take over the command void left by Danseglio. Now that it’s not an option, the Cavaliers are left to rely on another junior defenseman, Nate Menninger, as well as sophomore LSM Michael Howard and top-recruit freshman Scott Hooper.
