The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have agreed to terms with Defender Stephen Hoar to a one-year agreement for the 2014 season. To make room for Hoar on the active 20-man roster, the Wings moved Defender Michael Diehl to the Practice Squad.
Diehl has appeared in two games this season contributing two forced turnovers and collecting two loose balls. This is his first season in the NLL.
Hoar has appeared in five contests for the Toronto Rock during the 2014 season. This will be his first stint with the Wings and eleventh season in the NLL. Hoar previously spent time with the Rochester Knighthawks and Toronto Rock. For his career, he has tallied 126 points (78 assists, 48 goals), 688 loose balls and has forced 54 turnovers. He also specializes in faceoffs with a career 45.6% win percentage.
The Wings make their way back to Philadelphia to take on the Rochester Knighthawks for their third and final matchup of the 2014 regular season at the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, March 16 at 4 p.m.
