Today was the last day for NLL teams to sign players to their rosters for the remainder of the season and the Philadelphia Wings made a few big splashes. After releasing Kevin Ross yesterday, Philadelphia signed Luke Wiles, Kevin Croswell and Jesse Fehr.
Wiles, long considered a top scorer in the NLL, was cut by the Buffalo Bandits before the season. He scored 21 points with Buffalo last season and is a former Wing. He was added to the practice roster.
Croswell, a former Wing, was also added to the active roster. Croswell has been a free agent but returns as the backup to Evan Kirk with Brandon Miller traded to Toronto.
Fehr is a transition player who last played in the NLL in 2012 with the Edmonton Rush. He was the 20th overall pick in 2011 but has just that one season with three games.
To make room for Fehr and Wiles on the practice roster, Philly promoted Bill McGlone and Michael Diel to the active roster.
