The Western Lacrosse Association season may be over, but moves are still being made as teams try to better themselves for the 2014 season.Earlier today the New Westminster Salmonbellies traded brothers Alex and Ilija Gajic to the Burnaby Lakers for Colton Clark. Draft picks were also exchanged with the two clubs, seeing the third round pick of the Bellies going to the Lakers for their second rounder.
Clark was fourth on the Lakers in scoring this past season with 37 points and he has a career 131 points in his four career seasons. He was a first round pick to the Colorado Mammoth of the NLL last season.
Ilija was traded to the Vancouver Stealth of the NLL this off season as well so this is the second time this year he has been swapping teams. Both Gajic brothers played their junior lacrosse with Burnaby and this will be their first time on the Senior Lakers.
Last season Ilija scored 41 points while Alex has 82 career points in four seasons. He has not played a full WLA season since 2011 with the Bellies.
