NLL Depth Chart Examination: Buffalo Bandits

The Buffalo Bandits struggled last year and will to redeem themselves this year. This article will look at their potential depth chart for the season.

1st line

Benesch is the the bandits free agent prize and he brings an offensive punch the bandits were missing last year. Benesch had 34 goals and 50 assists last year for 84 points. The Bandits will hope Benesch will help raise Aaron Wilson’s game as Wilson finished with 23 goals and 23 assists last season. On defense Dilly Dee Smith and Steve Priolo need to be on the ball as the Bandits defense struggles last year and constantly blew leads.

2nd line

The Bandits second line sees Shawn Williams the team’s leading goal scorer from the 2013 season teamed up with Dhane Smith. Smith had an excellent rookie campaign putting up 44 points and will benefit from the experience of Williams who put up 65 points last season. Thorimbert is the Bandits faceoff specialist winning 26 face offs last year he will help the Bandits to control the flow of the game and help out on the back end for the Bandits.

Goaltending

Anthony Cosmo last season posted a 4-4 record with a 13.37 G.A.A and .751 save percentage. Kurtis Wagar did not fare much better. Heading into training camp both these goalies have a chance to earn the starting position.

Overall the Bandits are still rebuilding but they still have enough talent to make a push for a playoff spot. The Bandits will most likely either just sneak into the playoffs or just fall short. Either way it will most likely come down to the last game of the season for the Bandits.
