After Kentucky and Boston already hosted their camp sessions, the Baltimore Bombers will host their first ever training camp as a member of the North American Lacrosse League this morning.
Baltimore will be hosting their training camp this morning at Myers Pavilion in Baltimore as we get our first look at the team.
The Bombers look like a solid team in the league after constructing their roster together this late summer and fall. Some offensive threats include former 80 point scorer Dan Marhol in the NLL and Dan Deckelbaum who has played with the Philadelphia Wings.
Matt Alrich, a former Boston Blazer and a Delaware alum, will also see floor time on the offensive unit along with Chris Boland of the Boston Cannons and James Synoweiz of the Jersey Jesters.
Defensive studs include eleven year NLL veteran Shawn Nadelen and Dan Cocchi who is a long time defender in Major League Lacrosse. Mike Simon, who made a name for himself with Chesapeake in the MLL playoffs, will also try his hand at some boxla.
Josh Funk, who was at Wings training camp, is also a member of the defensive core. Josh Rachman who played for Boston last season is also rock solid.
The goaltending unit is headed by former NLL goalie Ginny Cappichioni and Ryan Mason who was drafted in the league’s draft this past fall. Adam Miller will also get a shot to crack the roster.
Defense and goaltending is a sure strength of the Bombers, and their offense has the ability to score. The team will come together for the first time today as they prepare for their first season as a pro squad in the competitive North American Lacrosse League.
