1:11pm- The Edmonton Rush matched the offer sheet and will retain the rights to Ryan Dilks, according to the league.
The Buffalo Bandits have made the second RFA offer of the off season today, signing former Toronto Rock and Edmonton Rush defenseman Ryan Dilks.
The Rush have 72 hours to match the offer and retain the rights to Dilks, the deadline being 8:30pm on Thanksgiving night. Dilks is one of the most explosive defensemen in the game with 21 career points in 44 games.
At just 23 years old, Dilks has been in the National Lacrosse League for four seasons. He began his career in Toronto before being claimed on waivers by the Boston Blazers in 2011. He spent the next two seasons of his career with the Rush. Dilks has 140 career loose balls as well.
The Bandits concluded their first training camp this past weekend, a camp in which we did not see defenseman Derek Suddons, so there is a chance they are in the market for more defensemen, hence this recent offer sheet.
