Both teams are in the playoffs at this point, however both teams still desperately want to win this weekend’s game. Tonight at 7:00 the Bayhawks face-off against the Rattlers in Rochester, hoping to stay a top the league. The Rattlers, coming off two straight victories over the Long Island Lizards, are hoping to further the gap between themselves and Long Island. It should be a very hard fought battle from both sides.
Chesapeake is currently 7-2 and in first place in the standings, but they are coming off a loss against the Charlotte Hounds last week. The loss was the Bayhawks first since their third game. It was an upset victory for the Hounds, who have three wins this season. The Bayhawks need to get back on the right track, and tonight is a very good start.
Speaking of the right track, the Rattlers have been on a great one the past few weeks. Rochester has won their last three games (one against Hamilton, two against Long Island) to push themselves into a playoff spot. They are currently 5-4, tied in the standings with the Lizards. Obviously every week is important when you are fighting for the very last playoff spot.
