After announcing some signings yesterday, the New England Black Wolves announced several cuts this afternoon, including Luke Wiles. Wiles, a former star in the NLL with the Washington Stealth and Philadelphia Wings, took the year off from the NLL last season but signed with New England this off season.
They also cut Mike Burke, the former Edmonton Rush draft pick who was signed by Toronto this off season before being traded to the ‘Wolves in the Brodie Merrill deal. They were both projected as possibilities to make the roster.
New England also cut defenseman Eric Hoffman who had been a part of the Wings roster last season.
Other cuts include goalie Jake Lazore and forwards Joshua Becker and Marty Bowes, all whom had been listed as signings yesterday on NLL.com. They also cut draft picks Jayson Crawford and Connor Campbell.
