After the Terriers held their first team practice on September 12th, we were finally given the opportunity to see this year’s recruiting class in action. Highlighting this group are several All-Americans, including Jake Dansey, Sam Talkow, and Tyler Zickel.
With Zickel’s leadership skills, Dansey’s impressive resume on defense, and Talkow’s experience at the attack position, these three could be a force to be reckoned with. This young group may not be used to the type of athletic attention they will be receiving at BU; however, with their experience and long list of awards and honors, the Terriers may very well be a top team in the league.
On August 27th, their fall schedule was released and includes the Northeast Classic in Braintree, MA, where they will face Sacred Heart and Hartford on October 13th. Sacred Heart put up a less than impressive record last year, while Hartford ended their last season no better. I expect the Terriers to come away with a win against both squads.
Coach Ryan Polley has only been through one season with the Terriers, but with his defensive and championship experience, he should be a great fit with this year’s award winning cast.
