Cannons to Play 2015 at Gillette Stadium

The Boston Cannons have a new home. In 2015, they will be playing out of Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The New England Patriots and New England Revolution currently play out of the same stadium.

The team will make the official announcement tomorrow, but the Boston Herald has already picked up the story. In their report, general manager Kevin Barney said that Harvard Stadium is undergoing some renovations, which forced a new location.

Boston will be laying their games during Revolution season as well, so the Patriots’ stadium has more than two off season tenets to draw a crowd.

The Cannons have spent their last seven seasons at Harvard Stadium and this will be their fourth stadium overall. They will only be the second current team playing at an NFL stadium, the other one being the Denver Outlaws.

It’s unclear if the Cannons will stay at Gillette long term, but at least for 2015, it looks like they will be playing all of their home games there.
