The biggest pick up in the draft for New York was Cody Jamieson. Jamieson played in college for Onondaga Community College where he was a starter and won back-to-back NJCAA titles as well named All American. In 2007 he also tied the NJCAA record for most goals in a championship game. In 2009 he scored the game winner for Syracuse to win the National Championship. Cody has also won a 2007 Minto Cup while playing with the Six Nation Arrows and back to back Mann Cups with the Six Nation Chiefs in 2013 and 2014.
Cody has also been a member of the Iroquois Nationals box team and won sliver medals at the indoor world games and Bowhunter Cups. While playing in the Nations cup. an all Native tournament, Jamieson has won plenty of times with the Ohsweken Aces
Right now in the National Lacrosse League he is ranked as the best player in the league and looking to win his fourth straight championship with the Rochester Knighthawks. Jamieson has won at ever level he has played on but in Major League Lacrosse.
In three seasons of play, all with the Hamilton Nationals, Jamieson scored 74 points and Hamilton finished as league runners up in 2011. Cody did not play in the MLL this past summer. Both Florida and Charlotte each had his rights during the season.
He did play field lacrosse out in Denver in 2014 . playing on the left side attack teaming up mostly with cousin Randy Staats as well as Lyle and Miles Thompson. While playing at the World games he helped the Iroquois finish in third place winning their first ever medel in field lacrosse.
For this summer the Lizards play in Long Island which is a much quicker flight from where Cody lives in Six Nations then it would have been playing down south.
Cody can be the lefty this team needs teaming up with both who Rob Pannell and Tommy Palasek. Both Pannell and Palasek can draw the double teams quickly and dish the ball to Cody inside and let him do what he does best in finishing the ball. The real question is when will New York get Jamieon in the lineup? They will have to wait to see when Rochester Knighthawks finish their season and also how tied up Jamieson is while playing MSL with the Six Nation Chiefs.
