Third Star- Connor Goodwin- McGill Redmen
Senior Connor Goodwin lit up the scoresheet this weekend, netting eight goals and four assists for 12 points in two games. The three-time CUFLA All-Canadian midfielder helped the McGill Redmen to two victories over Queen’s and Trent. In the 16-10 win over Queen’s, the New Westminster,BC native tallied four goals while adding a helper for five points. The very next day, Goodwin found the back of the net four times and handed out four assists for seven points. McGill’s co-captain now has 13 goals, eight assists for 21 points in four games played, good enough for third in the country in scoring.
Second Star- Brandon Slade- Brock Badgers
Junior attackman Brandon Slade‘s production may have dropped off a bit from week one, but he still managed to to fill the scoresheet in a busy week for the Badgers. In three games, the Orangeville Jr.A product netted eight goals and seven assists for 15 points. The two-time All-Canadian attackman has 23 points in four games, putting him second in scoring among all CUFLA scorers.
First Star- James Malloy- Bishop’s University
Senior attackman James Malloy continued his offensive dominance with a big 17 point weekend for the Bishop’s Gaiters. The Ironheads Jr.B product netted six goals while chipping in with three helpers for nine points in the Gaiters 12-5 win over Carleton. On Sunday, Malloy buried six goals and two assists for eight points in a huge 14-8 win over Queen’s. The Uxbridge,ON native now leads the Nation in goals(17) and points (29) and second in assists(12) in four games played. Malloy has already matched his 2014 point total of 29 and is just three points shy of his career best season of 32 back in 2013.
