Evan Kirk Signs Three Year Deal with New England

The New England Black Wolves have signed their own free agent goalie Evan Kirk to a three-year deal to stay with the team. Kirk, whom the Philadelphia Wings had acquired from the Minnesota Swarm before last season, had been an RFA.

Philadelphia moved to Connecticut this offseason where they will be known as the New England Black Wolves and that will be Kirk’s new team.

Last season Kirk finished on the PUP list, but the Orangeville native put up a 11.60 goals against average in 817 minutes, the most in his career. The only average he has had better was in his rookie year 2012 when he had a 9.81 in 415 minutes. He has a career GAA of 11.84.

Kevin Croswell was also signed to return and be the backup goaltender, and head coach Blane Harrison has said in the past weeks he expects more goalies to come in during camp and compete for the backup role.
