The Edmonton Rush were not too thrilled with the career low 31 points they got out of Aaron Wilson. However, they still have to understand he has been a prolific goal scorer in the NLL, and they will need to find a way to replace his potential production on the right side.
Edmonton didn’t have a stellar offense in 2012 but still managed to get to the Champions Cup. They already lost Shawn Williams this off season when thy traded him to Buffalo.
Without those two guys, their offense is going to look a lot different. On the right side their top two guys are Ryan Ward and Scott Evans, a pretty solid side. On the left they have Corey Small and recently drafted rookie Mark Matthews to lead the way. He replaces Williams.
They also have Zach Greer and Tom Johnson on the left. They also have Alex Turner on that side who they are hoping can contribute.
The only offensive changes the Rush see are and Matthews, along with Jarrett Davis who they got from the Rochester Knighthawks for Paul Rabil. Their other first round pick Curtis Knight might also be able to be an impact.
It won’t be easy to replace Wilson, but they have brought in some players who can score. Davis was solid in Rochester with 38 points last season, while Matthews was the top pick and is expected to do a lot.
