Jordan Burke was not an MLL all star last season. He ended up being the Championship game MVP, and taking home the Steinfeld Cup with the World Champion Boston Cannons.
This season, his domination of Major League Lacrosse continues. He has played 416 minutes this season in net, and he leads MLL with a goals against average of 9.36. In second place is TC DiBartolo, who has played just 140 minutes for the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
In fact, Burke leads the entire league in minutes played and he still has the best goals against average in the league, and leads the second place DiBartolo by almost an entire goal, with him at 10.27.
Burke also has the best save percentage at .583%, with Joe Marra from the Charlotte Hounds next. Marra is currently on the Hounds practice squad and has also missed two games with injury this season, and has just 130 minutes played on the season.
Burke is also just one of three goalies in the league to play all seven games, the other ones being Adam Ghietelman of Charlotte and Jesse Schwartzman of the Denver Outlaws.
The Cannons will need another big outing from him this week as they battle the Bayhawks for first place.
