The Rochester Knighthawks have invited three time NCAA DIII goal scoring leader Brock Levick to their 2014 training camp.
“Receiving an invite to camp is a huge honour,” said Levick. “I couldn’t be more excited for an opportunity with such a storied franchise.”
The Medaille College graduate finished with an average of 4.00 goals per game in his four year stint with the Mavericks of the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
The Newmarket,ON native has proven goal scoring ability in the box game, finishing his Junior B lacrosse career with 97 goals, 113 assists for 210 points in 67 games with the Markham Ironheads and Green Gaels.
In the senior ranks, Levick netted four points in three games with Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse. In Senior B, Levick has netted 15 goals, 21 assists for 36 points in 15 games with the Brooklin Merchants.
“My best attribute would be my ability to feed and score in tight,” said the former Ironhead and Gael. “Although, I am willing to do anything to crack the roster.”
After his four years at Medaille in Buffalo,NY, Levick set his eyes on the next level in the box game.
“Although I’ve tried to work on all aspects of my game, I’ve spent most of my time working on my speed and agility,” said Levick. “I know the game is much faster at the next level.”
Levick had a solid outing at the NLL Prospects Game, netting four goals and 2 assists. Unfortunately for Levick, he was not selected in the draft, but obviously he caught the attention of the Knighthawks enough to get an invite to camp.
Rochester’s training camp opens this weekend. The three-peat NLL Champions open up their preseason schedule with a exhibition game against the Minnesota Swarm on December 6.
