What The Atlantic Sun Means For Lacrosse

Earlier this week six schools announced their unification to form a new lacrosse conference in affiliation with the already established Atlantic Sun Conference. The schools, Furman, High Point, Jacksonville, Mercer, VMI, and Richmond, plan to form the new conference as soon as 2014. UMass-Lowell to Add Lacrosse Program

Yesterday, the UMass-Lowell Riverhawks announced they would be going division one in all sports (they only had division one hockey). Today, they announced they would be adding men’s and women’s lacrosse to their program, also in division one. They will be joining the America East Conference. MCLA: Santa Barbara Bounces Back

Over the weekend we had a number of games, including a top 15 match- up between Cal Poly and UC- Santa Barbara. This past week was the first real weekend with a substantial number of games.
