Syracuse and Virginia in ACC Showdown

March 1, 2015

When Syracuse and Virginia meet on Sunday, it marks not just the beginning of ACC play this season, but also the next installment of one of the best match ups in college lacrosse. The two undefeated teams have taken slightly different paths to reach this point, but as always, it will prove to be a great game. Syracuse head coach John Desko says year after year that this is a…

Knighthawks and Roughnecks Meet in Championship Rematch

February 28, 2015

The Rochester Knighthawks face-off against the Calgary Roughnecks for the first time in 9 months.   The last time these teams met, the Knighthawks made NLL history by becoming the first team to ever three-peat after coming from behind in the mini-game after being down 2-0 by scoring the final three goals in just over a minute. But now things are a bit different.  Calgary comes into the game at…

Syracuse and Army Highlight NCAA Sunday

February 22, 2015

When Army and Syracuse play on Sunday evening in the Carrier Dome, they are restarting one of my favorite series on the Syracuse schedule. This rivalry took a year off because of the Orange’s move to the ACC last year, which put Maryland into the weekend typically reserved for Army’s visit. With Maryland’s departure from the ACC, the Army date is back on. Army and Syracuse both are typically loaded…
