The Ohio Machine lost yet another game this week to the Denver Outlaws, meaning they still only have one victory going into the second half of the season. Today they made a move for the future, and fittingly it was a trade with those same Denver Outlaws. The Machine sent transitionman Anthony Kelly and a 5th round supplemental pick to the Outlaws in exchange for 2nd round pick in the collegiate draft and a 4th round pick in the supplemental draft.
Kelly played in seven games this season for the Machine scoring no goals. He won 77 of the 157 face-offs that he took in that time. Kelly is a seven year MLL veteran who has spent time with the Riptide, Machine, and Rattlers. He has scored 18 goals and 2 assists in his career.
The Outlaws currently sit at 6-3 and are second in the league after this week’s victory over the Machine on the 4th of July Fireworks night. They are also coming off of setting the professional lacrosse attendance record with over 30,100 fans in attendance. They next play July 14th against the Charlotte Hounds.
