According to sources in the league, the Midwest Indoor Lacrosse Association will have a championship game after all. The undefeated Colorado Sabertooths will face the undefeated Grand Rapids Dragonfish on November 3rd.
Playoffs had been scheduled for Milwaukee on October 6th with Colorado, Grand Rapids, Milwaukee and Chicago playing, but later it was found that Colorado would not be playing in it.
Details emerged yesterday that Colorado had requested the game be played on Omaha, but that was turned down by Grand Rapids. Both undefeated teams had been working hard to find a way to get the Championship game done.
Earlier today, they came to that resolution when they decided they would play the game in Greensville, Michigan. The one down side of playing the game in November is the teams will likely be without most of their NLL players; that is three with Colorado and one with Grand Rapids.
These undefeated teams will indeed have a chance to do the league justice, however, and we will have a champion.
