Major League Lacrosse has announced two events for its halftime show this year. The hardest shot contest returns along with the accuracy contest, though it was a bit altered.
The fastest shot has a new twist to it this year as a fan who shoots the fastest at the MLL Fan Zone before the game will get to be a part of the event. MLL players in the event include Jeremy Sieverts (Denver Outlaws), Mike Manley (Rochester Rattlers), Brett Schmidt (Charlotte Hounds) and Justin Turri (Rochester Rattlers).
Once again no Paul Rabil in the event and Mike Sawyer who won the hardest shot last year is not in it either.
The accuracy contest changes quite a bit from last season, now being 14 yards from the goal. The shooter will have 30 seconds to hit seven targets. Two players from Team USA are in the contest, and they are goaltender Jesse Schwartzman (Denver Outlaws) and Marcus Holman (Ohio Machine).
The other two participants are on Team MLL, and they are Logan Schuss (Ohio Machine) and Joe Walters (Chesapeake Bayhawks). These events will all take place at halftime tonight of the MLL All Star game.
