While there was only one game this week, it was a big one, as we were treated to the annual All-Star game.
This years All-Star game took the format of Old School vs Young Guns.
The game ended with the Old School team picking up the win with a score of 18-17, marking the fourth straight year that the All-Star Game was decided by a single point.
There was no shortage of talent on display, and we were treated to the Bud Light Skills Competition during half-time.
With all the skills on display it is difficult to pick out just three players to highlight, but I will do my best.
My first pick has to go to Stephen Berger of the Charlotte Hounds.
Berger was named the Bud Light MLL Player of the Game, and lead the Old School team with three goals.
Next up is Ohio Machine defenseman Kyle Hartzell.
Hartzell successfully defended his Fastest Shot title by racking up a shot of 111 miles per hour, tying Paul Rabil’s record.
This last spot is the hardest, as I feel many people could easily fit here.
That said, my third spot goes to goalkeeper Brett Queener of the Hamilton Nationals.
Queener won the Freestyle event during the half-time festivities, with a kick-stick goal and had a save percentage of 50% for the Old School team.
There we have it, my picks for the 3 stars of the week.
Like I said, many people could have easily been picked and been totally valid picks, but these are the three that stood out most to me.
I want to congratulate all of the players, on both teams, for putting on a great game.
Here is looking forward to next year.
