Harvard vs Yale—There’s nothing more exciting than two Ivys going head to head. Last year, when the two teams met, Harvard came out on top with a 10-5 victory over the Bulldogs. Yale is hoping to change things up this year and they are hoping their home field advantage will give them a great morale boost from the crowd. The teams are both having productive seasons, and Harvard’s offensive line is developing quite the edge. Harvard’s freshman attacker Marisa Romeo started the season with a bang, and she is keeping Harvard’s opponents on their toes. It will be interesting to see the results of this rival match.
UNC vs Boston College—UNC is at the top of the league, and their 9-0 record certainly shows off their intense level of play. They have been smashing their opponents, and currently tying the program’s record for consecutive wins with 13 this streak. If UNC beats Boston, they will shatter the previous record. Boston College however, is having quite the season with an impressive 7-1 record. Their offense will certainly be a challenge for UNC. UNC’s season is going well, and they are going to rely on their momentum to carry their skillful team to victory this weekend.
Maryland vs JMU—Maryland is currently leading the NCAA rankings, and have a perfect 9-0 record, tying wth UNC. They have a strong offense, and Redshirt Junior Abbey Clipp has been dominating in the goal, saving 10 in her last match against ND. Notre Dame was a tough opponent for the Terps, because they too, are a cutting edge team. Maryland is confident in their abilities, both offensively and defensively and they are a team that performs well no matter the circumstances. JMU, however is climbing the charts. On the NCAA ranking site, they are mentioned as a team to watch, although they have had a few setbacks. If James Madison is able to better their overall play and decrease the point difference between their opponent, they will see future success. It’s certainly going to be a competitive match because JMU is known for their ability to keep on their opponent’s tail.
