NLL Power Rankings: Despite Loss Rush Still #1

Week 16   One spot remains for the playoffs

 

EAST DIVISION

Rochester Knighthawks (12-4) – clinched East Division title.

Buffalo Bandits (8-7) -clinched a playoff berth. -Can clinch at least one home playoff game with:

Win a win in their remaining games or one Toronto loss.

Toronto Rock (7-9) -clinched playoff berth. Can host one playoff game by winning remaining two games and Buffalo looses remaining games

Philadelphia Wings (5-11) –   eliminated from playoff contention

Minnesota Swarm   (4-12) –   eliminated from playoff contention

 

WEST DIVISION

 

Edmonton Rush (15-1) -Have clinched West Division title and top overall seed with home field advantage throughout playoffs.

Calgary Roughnecks (10-6) -Have clinched playoff berth and at least one home playoff game.

Colorado Mammoth (6-10) –One win or a Vancouver loss will clinch a playoff berth for the Mammoth

Vancouver Stealth (4-11) –Must win remaining games and hope the Mammoth lose remaining games.

Power Rankings   Week 16

(1) 1—Edmonton Rush  (15-1) The dream of an undefeated season ended Friday night as the Mammoth defeated them 10-8.  But the Rush responded quickly by defeating the Roughnecks the following night 15-11.  Rush return home for final two weeks of season.  Host Calgary Saturday 9pm .

(2) 2—Rochester Knighthawks (12-4) Defeated the Stealth 10-7 as they locked up the Eastern Conference regular season title and will have a bye in round one.  Last home game til the playoffs.  Host Buffalo Saturday night 7:30 pm.

(3) 3—Calgary Roughnecks (10-6)   Dropped another game to the Rush 15-11.  tied the game with 7:30 to go, then a four goal run by the Rush did them in.  Calgary will travel to face the Rush Saturday night 9pm,

(5) 4—Toronto Rock (7-9) The Rock clinched the final spot in the east with a 10-9 victory over the Wings. Brandon Miller stood tall in defeating his old team.  The Rock still have a shot at second place, but must win there two remaining games and Buffalo has to lose remaining games.  Host Buffalo Friday night 7pm.

(4) 5—Buffalo Bandits (8-7)   Have now dropped five in a row with a 10-9 loss to the Swarm.  Still hold onto second place.  Bandits on road for two games this weekend were they are 2-5.  Friday will visit Toronto7pm.Rochester Saturday night 7:30pm.

(6) 6—Colorado Mammoth (6-10)   Handed the Rush their first loss 10-8.  Can clinch playoff berth with a win or a Stealth loss in the remaining games.  Mammoth travel to face the Swarm Saturday 8pm.

(5) 7—Philadelphia Wings (5-11)  Fell to the Rock 10-9 and also were eliminated from playoff contention.  Played well, but just couldn’t solve Brandon Miller.  Travel to face the Stealth and play spoiler Saturday 10pm.

(9) 8—Minnesota Swarm (4-12)  Even with a 10-9 win over the Bandits, the Swarm were eliminated from playoff contention when Toronto bet Philadelphia.  Swarm look to go out winners in final two games.  Host the Mammoth Saturday 8pm

(8) 9—Vancouver Stealth (4-11)   Fell to the Knighthawks 10-7 putting their playoff hopes on life support.  They need to win remaining games and hope the Mammoth lose remaining games.  Host Wings Saturday night 10pm.
