NLL Power Rankings: Rock On Top

One more week to go… Can you have written a better script to end the 2013 regular season? Two of the four spots were claimed last week by Philadelphia and Minnesota. Two spots remain with Buffalo, Rochester, Colorado in a battle for it.  Also in the balance is Best overall record and the NLL West title. An Edmonton win over Calgary will give the Rush both the Western Division Title and the Best overall record. A loss and Toronto will have best overall record, and Edmonton could drop to third in the west.

 

  1. Toronto Rock  10-6  Classic game in Philadelphia.  Rock played tough despite 10-9 OT loss. Clinched NLL EAST. Can have best overall record and home field throughout playoffs with Edmonton loss.  Off this week. Next Game April 28th Playoffs Team to be determined.

2.    Edmonton Rush  9-6     Big win versus Rochester 14-10.  Clinched playoff berth.  A win this weekend gives the Rush the Western Title(regular season) and home field throughout.  A loss and a Washington win, and they will place third in division.  Next game  April 20th  vs Calgary  9pm

3.   Calgary Roughnecks 8-7  Tough 15-14 loss to the Knighthawks.  Clinched playoff berth. A win this weekend and they clinch the west. A loss and they need Colorado & Washington to lose for a home playoff game.  Next game  April 20th  at Edmonton  9pm

4.   Washington Stealth  8-7   Struggled all game versus a Bandit team who looked like they mailed it in. Wheels fell off in fourth as the Bandits put up 8 to win 15-10. Clinched playoff berth.  A win this week and an Edmonton loss will give the Stealth a home playoff game.  Next game  April 20th  vs Philadelphia  10pm

5   Rochester Knighthawks  7-8  Could of clinched playoffs and home game with a sweep…BUT they Split weekend matchups.  Big win over the Calgary 15-14, then on Sunday the wheels fell off after the first fifteen minutes. ‘Hawks outscored 12-6 in final three quarters of play. Can clinch playoffs with a Colorado loss, Can clinch home game with a win this week. Eliminated with a loss and a Colorado win.  Next game April 20th  at Buffalo 7:30  CBS SPORTSNETWORK

6.   Minnesota Swarm   7-8   Huge win on the road, demolishing the Mammoth 17-12 Clinched playoff berth.  Next game  April 20th  vs Colorado  8pm

7    Philadelphia Wings  7-8  Huge win..Wings played a complete game as they defeat the Rock 10-9 in OT.  Clinched playoff berth. Can clinch home game with a win and a Rochester loss.  Next game  April 20th  at Washington  10pm

8.   Colorado Mammoth  6-9   Embarrassed at home losing 17-12 to Minnesota .Down 9-2 at the half.  Can clinch a playoff berth with a win this week or a Buffalo loss to Rochester. Will be eliminated with a loss and a Buffalo win.  Next game  April 20th  at Minnesota  8pm

9    Buffalo Bandits  6-9   In what was considered a playoff game for the Bandits, they stay alive for a spot with a 15-10 win over Washington. Can clinch a playoff  berth with a win. Eliminated with a loss. Can clinch a first round home game with a win, and a Philadelphia loss

 

     OK…THIS IS IT!!!!!  WE ARE COMING TO THE END OF THE RIDE!   I TOLD YOU IT WOULD BE EXCITING!    1 week left….2 playoff spots……3 teams..  By Sunday morning someone will have to get off the ride and prepare for next season…  BUCKLE UP!!!  STRAP IN!!!
