Jordan Houtby was one of the Minnesota Swarm’s plethora of draft picks, and we caught up with him on his thoughts about being an NLL player.
Q: Thoughts on joining the Swarm?
A: I’m really excited to be joining the Swarm. Going into the draft they were a team I was interested in because I felt I could make a positive impact quickly.
Q: What have you heard about the Swarm organization?
A: During the summer I played with a number of guys who belong to the Swarm and they told me a lot of good things about the organization.
Q: How do you feel making it as an NLL draft pick?
A: Ever since I started playing lacrosse it was always a dream of mine to play in the NLL. When I was drafted I knew that I made one step closer to making my dream come true.
Q: What do you bring to an NLL team?
A: I am a shut down defenseman who is very vocal on the floor. I am also a player that can push the ball up the floor quickly when asked to.
