With the news that Greg Danseglio will at least miss the Spring 2015 season with the Cavaliers, there is a relatively young corp of players that will need to be the next men up for Virginia. Danseglio was an important piece for the Wahoos and his presence will be missed. Virginia statistically needed a lot of work after being eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Johns…

Providence Scrimmages to White Team Victory
On Friday, November, 7th, Providence College held an intra-squad scrimmage to give their players some live action as the fall calendar winds down. Rather than a typical scrimmage of likely starters vs. everyone else, the squad was split into two groups (black and white) that were established earlier in the fall, making the competition between teams much more balanced. This afforded us the chance to see plenty of players and…
NLL Off Season Recap: Calgary Roughnecks
The Calgary Roughnecks continue a busy off season as they look toward the 2015 NLL season. Coming one goal shy of hoisting the Champions Cup they didn’t need a ton of improvement but they have definitely made some big moves to get back to that chance to get the ultimate prize. Offense: The Roughnecks offense last year was extremely potent when firing on all cylinders they were nearly unstoppable. Scoring…
Photos: Providence Lacrosse Facilities
We were invited to a tour of Providence Lacrosse’s facilities following their scrimmage on Friday, November 7. We’ve included some photos below of their state of the art film, locker and weight rooms. This wing of the building is strictly built for the men’s lacrosse team, which is impossible to miss right as you walk in. In the common area for the coaches’ offices, a few of the program’s awards…

Dube Blog: USA Camp Wraps Up First Week
Day 2 is in the books, we’re hitting the road a bit earlier than scheduled. It’ll be nice to get home before 2 am even though I could have scrimmaged for at least another hour. 7:30 am came pretty quick this morning but a coffee and a Red Bull later I felt alive again. We hit the floor for warmup a bit after 9 then got some shooting practice in….
Ohio Machine Players Turning Gears for NLL Season
There’s a particular aspect of professional lacrosse I have always noticed, and that is there’s multiple leagues with the same names participating. Numerous athletes play two different styles (indoor and outdoor) at opposing annual frequencies. Even more participate in Canadian leagues. This is the biggest attraction, and yet largest flaw, for lacrosse. For many, including myself, it is very challenging to follow a player across leagues, year round, who they’re…
