Coming into Saturday with a three game winning streak, Navy will be taking on the always dangerous Terriers from the University of Boston. This will be an interesting matchup between two teams that are riding their own personal hot streaks. Boston’s last loss came in late February on the road against Providence.
The team only put up a total of four goals against the Friars. Since then, the lowest the team has scored has been 11 and they have been riding off the stick of Jack Wilson. Wilson hasn’t seen the back of the net too much since his 6 goal game against Vermont, however the team has strung four straight going into Saturday’s matchup.
As a 3-2 team at home, Navy will have to find a way to slow down the Boston offense. The Midshipmen will be looking at Ryan Everson and Beau Gomez in the backfield to stop Wilson, Schall and Dearth. Equally for Navy, the Midshipmen will have to play a fast paced offense against Boston.
The Terriers have only given up 10+ goals once this year, coming against Colgate on March 7th. As a team that likes to share the wealth, keep an eye out for an outside combination of T.J. Hanzsche, Jack Ray, and Kevin Wendel. Noteworthy for Boston will be to keep leading assist man, Patrick Keena, from behind the net. If Boston can play their a physical game and rattle the Navy forawrds, the Terriers should be able to play the game to their advantage.
The game will be played at Annapolis, Maryland at 12pm ET.
