The Toronto Rock will be playing two free agents in their pre season game tonight. Tonight at 7pm the Rock will be playing the Philadelphia Wings in the final pre season game before the regular season begins. First, Toronto has brought in AJ Masson, a defenseman who had been drafted by the Wings.
Masson was the 12th overall pick to the Wings in the second round this season. He was released from their training camp last week. Meanwhile, Nick Diachenko was drafted by the Buffalo Bandits at the 14th overall pick from the Whitby Warriors. He won a championship with them in 2011.
The Rock have cut their roster for the 2014 season but they are still open to try out new players in their last game of the pre season. Their practice roster is full but they may make cuts from there to make room for the two second rounders if they deem it important.
