Vancouver has been one of the more active teams this off season and they continued to work on their roster yesterday when they traded for New England/Connecticut forward Kyle Belton. Belton, who started last season with Toronto, was shipped to the then Philadelphia Wings in the trade that sent goaltender Brandon Miller to the Rock.
Belton is the second right handed transition man the Stealth have added this season after they traded for Minnesota tranny Tyler Hass last month. Belton had two points in his eight games last season and picked up 30 loose balls. In his season before, his rookie season, he has five points in 13 games with the Rock. Belton is a native of Langley and was drafted in the third round in 2012.
Going to Connecticut in return is Jamie Lincoln, a left handed forward. Lincoln began his career with Colorado before he signed with Vancouver last season. Lincoln added 11 points in seven games with the Stealth last year.
The lefty forward joins a potentially deep left side for the Connecticut team, and it might spell the end of free agent Tracey Kelusky or Ryan Ward might be moved.
