On Tuesday afternoon the Vancouver Stealth continued to make moves by signing two new players to contract extensions. Earlier in the month they had traded away defenseman Mike Grimes to Minnesota for transition player Tyler Hass and forward Dane Stevens. Today, they locked those players up.
Stevens, who spent one season in Minnesota after playing in Edmonton, was a restricted free agent and signed to stay with the Stealth for one season, through 2015.
Hass, who had spent his entire career with the Swarm before asking to be traded to a west coast team, signed a three year extension. Hass was also a restricted free agent.
Meanwhile, the Stealth placed both goaltender Tyler Richards and forward Tim Henderson on the active roster. Richards had been on the Physically Unable to Perform list after an injury in the regular season while Henderson was serving in the army at the end of last season.
Vancouver has been one of the more active teams this off season, also re-signing most of their players last week.
