Outlaws Season in Review

September 4, 2013

Alex Urquhart   The Denver Outlaws had the best regular season of any team in the history of the MLL. The Outlaws went  14-0 this season before they lost to the Charlotte Hounds in the first round of Championship Weekend. The Outlaws set the new single season record for wins, finished third, all-time, in goals for, fifth, all-time, in goals against. Together with Jesse Schwartzman, who set a new record…

Denver Does It; Perfect Season

August 10, 2013

The Denver Outlaws have done what no other team in the history of the MLL has done, go undefeated into the playoffs. The outlaws have gone 413 days, that’s a year  and 48 days without a lose. The Outlaws rolled on to an 18-12 win over the Hamilton Nationals today. The only other pro lacrosse team to go undefeated is the 1993 Buffalo Bandits of the NLL who went 8-0….

December 14, 2012

The MLL Supplemental Draft has come and gone, and teams now have a lot more players to add to their 40 man rosters. We take a look at what some of the teams did, and who came out on top. Rochester Rattlers- B The Rattlers get a solid B here, and if there was more certainty, maybe an A. The Mark Millon pick first overall is rather confusing, even though…

MLL Draft Preview: Denver Outlaws

December 4, 2012

The Denver Outlaws had some of the most successful rookies in the league last year. Sure, not all of them were drafted by the Outlaws, but draftees Mark Matthews and Colin Briggs combined with Drew Snider and Chris Bocklet, whom the team acquired in trades, gave Denver a very talented first-year class. Briggs was traded this off-season but the other three will be core members of the 2013 Outlaws squad….

Denver Outlaws Off-Season Update

November 7, 2012

The Denver Outlaws were a high-powered offensive in 2012. They scored the most goals in all of Major League Lacrosse en route to having the best regular season record and falling to Chesapeake in the MLL Championship game. The Outlaws have reached the playoffs in all seven years of the franchise’s existence. Last year’s team far exceeded expectations, after an off-season that saw a lot of turnover in the front…

MLL: Season 12 One To Remember

August 29, 2012

The MLL season has now come to a close with the Chesapeake Bayhawks on top for the fourth time in franchise history. Another chapter in the history of the league has now come and gone, and in my eyes it was an important one for the future. The most notable storyline we can take away from this season has been talked about a lot, the additions of Charlotte and Ohio….

August 25, 2012

The Denver Outlaws and Long Island Lizards meet in the first semi-final game of MLL Championship Weekend and if you asked people in the beginning of the season, neither team should have made it this far. Both teams traded away star players (Max Seibald and Drew Westervelt for Denver, Matt Danowski, John Grant Jr. and Stephen Berger for Long Island), invested in rookie players and rookie head coaches and were…

Denver Outlaws 2012 Season Review

August 20, 2012

During the off-season the Denver Outlaws made a number of roster changes, but they were ones that had some fans worried and media members questioned the quality of the team. They hired Jim Stagnitta as the new head coach and traded away Max Seibald and Drew Westervelt. The Outlaws had made the playoffs in each of their first six seasons in the league. With so much turnover in the offseason…
