The Canadian Lacrosse League began their pre season on Sunday when the Durham Turf Dogs and Toronto Shooting Stars played to a 12-12 tie.
Scott Defrancesco of the Turf Dogs led all players with three goals. Blake Kenny of the Shooting Stars led all scorers with two goals and four assists.
Other players of note on Toronto were Jackson Gair (2 goals 2 assists) and Tory Gardner (four penalty minutes).
For Durham, they saw good performances from Steve Conrad (2 goals) and Graham Bergsma (2 goals 1 assist).
Josh Ruys, who has played for the Rochester Knighthawks, played for Toronto along with Minnesota roster player Josh Wasson.
Goalie numbers were not released, but Angus Dingley started for Toronto and Craig Wende for Durham.
The game was played at Stephen Leacock Arena in Scarborough, Ontario. The Turf Dogs are preparing for their second season in the Canadian Lacrosse League while Toronto, who played in Oshawa last year, are preparing for their first season as the Stars.
