On Friday December 21st the Philadelphia Wings activated Jordan Hall from the IR to the 23 man active roster. With that move the Wings released forward Ned Crotty.
Is this a true move? Or was it just so Hall can get some game action to see how the knee is doing after knee surgery that had him miss the last half of the 2012 season? In my opinion I think it was just so Jordan Hall can get some playing time on the knee. I can’t see Crotty being truly released for a couple reasons
1- Crotty is a raw talent for the indoor game and has unbelievable potential.
2- Coaches are very high on Crotty, and I cant see the Wings just releasing Crotty without trying to trade him for draft picks, etc..
Time will tell if Crotty is released, there was nothing released on the Wings official website, which shows Crotty still listed.
Wings season kicks off Friday Jan 11th @ 7pm as they host the Buffalo Bandits.
