WLA Weekend Preview: Bellies Need to Rebound

Friday, June 27
Burnaby Vs New Westminster
After two tough losses last week for the ‘Bellies,’ Burnaby looks to come into Queens Park and get their weekend rolling and keep up with the standings vs a New West team licking their wounds from last weekend. Currently sitting in a tie for third with Maple Ridge a win on Friday will definitely keep the heat on the Burrards as the Lakers start looking in mid season form and ready to get momentum for the rest of the season.

Maple Ridge Vs Victoria
After a close call in Maple Ridge last week, the Burrards get another chance to knock off and stop the Shamrocks undefeated season on the island, Jesse King of the ‘Rocks’ looks to keep his hot stick from last weekend and his energy from last week will certainly help keep the Burrards at bay and the goalie on his toes!
Saturday, June 28
Burnaby Vs Nanaimo
Lakers attempt to earn a big four point weekend as they play lower standing teams to keep pace with Maple Ridge. While in net for the Timbermen Zach Boychuk tries to turn his struggling teams season around as the consensus starter for them has always played well against Burnaby and hopes to continue that.
Victoria Vs Coquitlam
Adanacs will try to take advantage of  ‘Rocks’ squad who played the previous night and try to use that momentum going into two big games for them next week that could be a huge confidence boost if they beat a strong Shamrocks team. The Shamrocks try to stay hot and keep energy from a big game the previous night and hopefully get offensive star Corey Small rolling again this weekend.
Sunday, June 29
Nanaimo Vs Maple Ridge
Paul Brebber looks to help turn the T-Men season around with a trip against the second place Burrards on the schedule. The Burrards will have energy from playing in a big game against the Shamrocks two nights before and the T-Men defense will need to take advantage of tired bodies in their attempt to get back into the standings before it’s too late in the season to do so.
