Just like the free agent/rookie camp, the players did not disappoint the coaches. The Wings brought in 18 players from the free agent camp 2 weeks ago, and each player is aware that there first mistake could be there last.
Players fighting for a roster spot, Will Harrington, Farrell, Rogowski have not only impressed the 15+ fans who came out early this morning, but also impressed the coaches had Wiedmaier, Erik Holt, Forsythe and Manley stood out this morning on the defensive side. With 8 goalies in camp, the Wings dressed 4 for the morning session.
Brandon Miller, Steve Fryer, Chris Collins and Alex Fortier took there place between the pipes this morning and also impressed as well. Veterans Brett Manney, Paul Dawson, Drew Westervelt showed they were stronger then ever. New additions Buchanan and Ross showed why they were so highly looked at to become part of the Wings family.
Second year player Kevin Crowley should be in camp for this evenings session at 7pm. The other 4 goalies Scott Komer, Chad Piper, Jake Lazore, Brett Perras should be in the nets tonight. Again the free agents/rookies will be put to the test.
