Adanacs Tie Up WLA Finals

Last night the Coquitlam Adanacs got back into their series with the Langley Thunder, tying the Western Lacrosse Association Finals at one.

In Coquitlam, the Adanacs were led by Dane Dobbie who scored three goals and had two assists. Jason Jones and Ross Halliday also had two goals a piece. Daryl Veltman had three assists.

For the Thunder, who fell 9-8, Athan Iannucci led with four goals and Lewis Ratcliff had two. Ratcliff also had five assists, and Garrett Billings had three.

In net for the Thunder, Brodie MacDonald made twenty five saves and for the Adanacs, Nick Rose made thirty six.

In the two hour game, the Adanacs got off to a hot start scoring five goals in the first to the Thunder’s four. However, they would be shut out in the second period while Langley scored two.

With the Adanacs down 6-5 in the third, Coquitlam scored two quick goals to take a 7-6 lead. Iannucci tied it for the Thunder before two goals in a row for Dobbie to give Coquitlam a two goal lead. Alex Turner would score for the Thunder to bring it within one, but that was as far as they would get.

Game three is tomorrow night when the Thunder go back to Langley to host the game.
