Ajax Rock to Move to Oakville

According to reports the Ajax Rock of Major Series Lacrosse will be moving to Oakville. The move is not yet a done deal and needs approval from the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The move was agreed upon by the league on Sunday at a meeting.

What is interesting is they will hire a new General Manager and it will be Terry Sanderson, the current GM of the NLL’s Toronto Rock.

Ajax has struggled to compete in MSL for years now and have also struggled with attendance, so there is no doubt that a move could be better overall for the league.

The team feels, according to reports, that the new GM and a new location will help keep the team afloat financially and on the floor. Their current head coach Clen D’Orazio is also their GM, so with Sanderson in his status is unclear. However, according to ILIndoor.com the team will speak with D’Orazio next week about his status.
