Attwood, Van Every Released; Hartzell Protected, Hawksbee Hold Out

With NLL training camps now active around the league, transactions will come fast and furious in the coming weeks. A few of those moves came last night.

The Rochester Knighthawks released rookie Chris Attwood and free agent signee Torey Van Every. Both participated in the rookie and free agent camp last weekend.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Mammoth, who open camp today, have placed defenseman Ian Hawksbee on their hold out list. They had signed Hawksbee to a one year deal early last week.

The Philadelphia Wings placed transition man Kyle Hatzell on the protected player list. They opened their camp this morning at 7am. They also signed Will Harrington and Chad Pieper to one year deals before camp opened.

Calgary signed veteran Kaleb Toth to a one year deal. With the Necks right side so deep, it will be interesting to see if he makes the roster.

Colorado signed free agent Mike Attwood to a one year deal along with Alex Gajic and Mike  Brascia. They also placed goaltender Tye Belanger on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Finally, Washington activated Cliff Smith and Mike Grimes from the Injured Reserve before they opened camp.
