On Friday night the Toronto Rock opened their season with a win over the Calgary Roughnecks by a score of 16-11 in Toronto. After the game we caught up with the captain Colin Doyle, and Jeff Swift, who was a scratch for the Rock but took in his first Rock game as a member of the organization.
Doyle had a great season opener for the Rock with four points; two goals and two assists. He took 15 shots and picked up eight loose balls on the night.
Meanwhile, Jeff Swift made the Rock practice roster after being undrafted out of the Peterborough Lakers system. The Rock brought him in to be a part of opening night, and he had plenty of comments as well.
