Once last week’s game ended, almost everyone’s minds quickly jumped to next week’s match-up. Once again the Colorado Mammoth and Buffalo Bandits face-off, this time in Denver. The league hopes that it doesn’t end the way last week’s game ended, with a 10 man brawl.
All of the players involved besides Bandit David Brock have appealed their suspensions, so they will all be playing tonight. It will likely be the Bandits debut for both Alex Kedoh Hill and Derek Hopcroft as well as Casey Powell’s first game for the Mammoth since being traded from Rochester. Hayden Smith and Kevin Brownell could be active as well for Buffalo, while Luke Wiles will be sitting out his first game as a member of the practice squad.
This is a game that both Colorado and Buffalo could really use. Buffalo is now 5-5 and need to tie a few wins together in hopes of a home playoff game. Colorado is still fighting to get into the playoffs, currently tied with Minnesota for the worst record in the league.
The Mammoth will be sporting their green St. Patrick’s Day attire. Powell tweeted out a picture of his new #2 “O’Powell” jersey for tonight earlier this weekend.
The game get underway at 9:00 eastern tonight at the Pepsi Center in Denver and can be watched live on the Lacrosse Network.
