Bandits Hope For Victorious Toronto Visit

If you were hoping for the Bandits to start turning things around, Toronto is probably the last team you’d want them to play. Unfortunately for Buffalo that’s exactly who they have to play tonight in hopes of beginning to move in the right direction.

Both these teams have something in common, getting embarrassed by the Edmonton Rush a week ago. The Bandits lost to the Rush 14-7 on Saturday in a game that never seemed to be going their way, while the Rock surprisingly lost to the Rush 17 to 12 the following day.

The Rock shouldn’t be too worried about getting caught in the Eastern division at this point in the season, with Philadelphia being two games back. The Bandits however, are sitting at 5-7 after last week’s loss and are still in contention to be the one team out of the playoffs. Even if they can’t move up in the standings, Buffalo will likely need a few more wins to even make it to the post-season.

Alex Kedoh Hill will be playing his second game with the Bandits after scoring three in his debut. Buffalo is hoping they can get offense beyond Hill and Dhane Smith, who scored five of the team’s seven goals last week.

Not surprisingly Toronto has been chugging away offensively, despite only scoring ten goals last week. Garrett Billings and Colin Doyle are second and fourth in the league in scoring, with both players being quite the challenge for the Bandits struggling defensive unit.

This is the third time these two teams have met, with both winning one game against the other. Tonight’s game kicks off at 7:00 eastern from the Air Canada Centre.
